When Do You Need a New Septic System?

  • Building a new home or business on property without sewer service
  • Replacing a failed system that can no longer be repaired
  • Upgrading an older system that no longer meets your needs

If you are not sure whether your current system can be repaired, a septic inspection or assessment is the right first step.

Permits and Approvals

Major septic system repairs, including repairs or modifications to the absorption field, as well as new septic system installations, generally require approval and applicable permits through the Arkansas Department of Health. Some municipalities may also require permits for additional types of septic repair work. Requirements vary depending on the location and scope of the project.

Missouri and Oklahoma have their own requirements, and we are licensed by the health department in all three states, so we can guide you through the approvals for your property.

How Septic Installation Works

  • Site and soil evaluation: the property is evaluated to determine the type and size of system it can support.
  • Design and permits: the system is designed for your home and the required approvals are obtained.
  • Installation: the tank, any pump chamber and the absorption field are installed to approved plans.
  • Approval and finish: the system is inspected as required, the area is covered and you receive care instructions.

Gravity Systems and Pump Systems

Many properties use a gravity system, where wastewater flows downhill to the drain field. When a gravity-fed septic system is not an option, an effluent pump is used to move wastewater from the pump chamber to the drain field. Hillside lots across the Ozarks often need a pump system, and we install and service both. Learn more about septic pump repair.

Built for Ozark Soils and Terrain

Rocky, shallow soils and steep lots are common in Northwest Arkansas and along the state line. A system designed for the actual site conditions works better and lasts longer, which is why every installation starts with an evaluation of the property.

Risers and Lids for Easier Maintenance

We can install risers and lids on new systems so the tank is easy to reach for future maintenance and septic tank pumping.
